About
Chicago law
Sean entered the legal market in 2008, right as the global financial crisis hit its (terrible) stride. Within months of starting at an AmLaw 200 firm in Chicago, half of his starting class was let go. As one of the few remaining junior associates, Sean had to expand his practice areas, which grew to include M&A, syndicated lending, commercial real estate, bank regulatory, restaurant franchising, and local opinion practice.
Southeast law
Sean’s breadth of transactional experience served him well when he moved to his wife’s hometown of Mobile, AL, in 2012. Sean made partner at his new firm, also in the AmLaw 200, and continued to work on complex national and international deals through the firm’s Mobile, Atlanta, Orlando and Birmingham offices.
Pinnacle Pole®
In 2018, Sean left the private practice of law to start a company with his father. Working for Century Utility Products has given Sean the chance to design, test and fabricate cutting-edge products (ask him about their environmentally friendly Pinnacle Poles!), manage logistics and supply chain matters, and develop rollout strategy. Upon product launch, Sean plans to oversee sales and order fulfillment by managing the company’s relationships with its contract manufacturers and regional sales reps.
Sean Dudley Law
In 2020, a few of Sean’s best former legal clients called him up to ask if he could represent them in pending multimillion dollar transactions. With the blessing of his family’s startup, Sean reactivated his law license and formed his own firm, to help Joe Bullard Automotive purchase a Chevy dealership and to help Austal USA purchase a new facility on the San Diego Bay. Sean continues to serve clients on middle market transactions through his solo law practice.
